An hour will be devoted to each of the four papers selected for discussion. We will have 2 papers on Friday, Oct. 2. A discussant will present the paper, followed by the author’s rebuttal and Q&A which will be moderated. Following the presentations, we will have a breakout session for econometrics topics germane to COVID-19. We will have 2 more papers on Friday, Oct. 9, followed by a small group conversations and mentoring breakouts for junior faculty and graduate students.
AHEW provides a forum to discuss the use of econometric and other quantitative methods to address issues in health economics and policy, health services research, and outcomes research. It is the first meeting of its kind in North America and will facilitate the exchange of ideas among the growing number of health econometricians in the United States and Canada.
